Class Selection

cLass progression

Our writing classes are designed to engage students at their skill level and then challenge and support them through their growth as writers.

Most of the classes don’t have prerequisites, but they are formulated to progress in a meaningful way, leading the student systematically from beginner to advanced.

If you’re a beginning writer or just need a refresher on the fundamentals, and because learning the fundamentals of fiction is easier when the scope is smaller, we recommend students begin with Short Story Mechanics AYOP.

A beginning student’s class progression might look like this:

  • Short Story Mechanics AYOP Beginner

  • Contemporary Dark Fiction Intermediate

  • Advanced Creative Writing Workshop Advanced

  • Novel Workshop 365 Advanced

  • Flash Fiction (LitReactor) Intermediate/Niche

Richard is passionate about helping you become a better writer, and that translates into a class environment that is supportive, respectful, and creates lasting relationships with cool new people with similar goals. And it will kick your writing up several notches.
